What Is Museum Lab?
Message from Yoshitoshi Kitajima, President & CEO of Dai Nippon Printing Co., Ltd.
“Taiwa” with Works of Art
Yoshitoshi Kitajima
President & CEO
Dai Nippon Printing Co., Ltd.

DNP, Dai Nippon Printing, has been contributing to people’s lives, art and culture via the printed media such as books and magazines since it was established in 1876. In art, we have widely introduced graphic designs through our galleries and art museum website. This Louvre-DNP Museum Lab was also started as part of our cultural activities.

The relationship between the Louvre Museum and DNP began in 1998 when we helped establish the CyberLouvre in the Louvre. We have continued to cooperate in a number of areas with image archives for their collected works and high-vision graphic programs to introduce the museum and their works.

The Louvre-DNP Museum Lab offers new ways to appreciate works of art in an effort to see how far and how deeply one work of art can be appreciated.

We hope to promote “taiwa” with works of art through the printing and information technology that DNP has thus far cultivated.

In the next three years, we plan to exhibit 6 works of art. We hope you will enjoy this new endeavor by the Louvre Museum and DNP.
